In addition to connecting participants to each other, we will showcase the powerful World Trade Center network, directly connecting businesses of the Rocky Mountain region to businesses in key markets in Europe. CORA Partner Event: INEOV, Green IT Symposium June 6 & 7 - Grenoble, France Come to Ineov and learn what Green IT and user-centred innovation are and how you can leverage them to boost your innovation potential. Click here to learn more about the symposium. | Grenoble New Energy Trade Mission to Visit Colorado On May 4, 5, and 6, 2011, CORA (Colorado Rhône Alpes Economic Development Partnership) will host a delegation from Grenoble, a major European center for new energy.The delegation will be led by Jean-Pierre Chardon, President of Tenerrdis, the French National Renewable Energy Cluster based in Grenoble. The goals of the delegation are two-fold.First, they want to obtain an in-depth understanding of the new energy landscape in Colorado.Secondly, they plan to present information about Grenoble's world-class assets in new energy and research, including the recently approved Greenlys smart grid city project. The ultimate objective of the visit is to build the personal relationships and knowledge essential to developing joint business development and research collaboration opportunities in smart grid, smart energy management, alternative fuels and energy storage. The participants include: the President of Tenerrdis, a professor from Grenoble's Polytechnic University and the world's leading smart grid experts, the president and the director of International Investment for AEPI, the Economic Development Agency for the Grenoble-Isere region, the president and director of Petale, one of France's largest business and innovation incubators and the Vice-President for Economic Affairs and Innovation for the Grenoble region. All our delegates will be attending our L'Esprit de France gala on May 6. The visit is being organized by CORA in collaboration with our partner in Grenoble, AEPI. CORA is an independent non-profit economic development organization funded by businesses and research organizations from both Colorado and the Grenoble Region. CORA has been successful in facilitating a number of collaborations since its founding in early 2009. | | Foreign Direct Investment in France With 139 new investment projects and 6,456 jobs created in 2010, the United States retained its place as France's second largest investor. According to the latest Annual Report published by the Invest in FranceAgency, not only has foreign productive investment gone up nearly 22% since 2009, but U.S. companies showed a dramatic rise in their commitment to global expansion with productive investments in France shooting up 31%. After conservative results in 2009 reflecting the effects of an economic downturn, the U.S. reclaimed its long-standing position as a leading investor in France in 2010.
